This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how ReevePoint Inc., a Delaware Corporation (“ReevePoint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares personal information in connection with the ReevePoint platform, including the website located at www.reevepoint.com and any related applications (collectively, the “Platform”). This Policy applies to homeowners and other property owners who use the Platform to find contractors for home improvement or home service work (“Customers”), independent contractors who use the Platform to find that work (“Contractors,” and together with Customers, “Users,” “you”), and to other visitors to the Platform. This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Platform.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide.

We collect the following categories of personal information that you provide directly to us:

  • Account Information. Your name, email address, phone number, username, and password when you register for an account.
  • Contractor Eligibility Information. If you are a Contractor, the license numbers, license types, insurance information, and related credentials you self-report through the Platform.
  • Project and Communication Information.Project descriptions, photos, messages, and other content you submit to generate a User Contract or to communicate with another User through the Platform (“User Content”).
  • Support Communications. Information you provide when you contact us with questions, comments, or requests for support.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically.

As you use the Platform, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the Platform, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect some of this information.

We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to collect usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. These tools use cookies and similar technologies. Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC; you can learn more about how Google uses data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners. Vercel Analytics is operated by Vercel Inc. and processes only aggregate, anonymized data.

1.3 Financial Information Collected by Stripe.

ReevePoint does not collect, process, or store payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or other financial account information. Payments made through the Platform are handled directly by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”), an independent, separately regulated payment processor. When you create a Stripe-supported connected account or make or receive a payment through the Platform, the financial information you provide is collected and processed by Stripe in accordance with Stripe’s own privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy (the “Stripe Privacy Policy”). By using the Platform’s payment features, you agree to the Stripe Privacy Policy in addition to this Policy. ReevePoint’s role is limited to receiving confirmation from Stripe that a payment has been initiated, held, or released, and we do not have access to your full financial account details.

1.4 AI-Assisted Features.

The Platform uses artificial intelligence tools, including Anthropic, PBC (“Anthropic”), to power certain features, such as generating draft project description, price, materials, and timeline fields for a User Contract, and analyzing photos or other content you submit for features like progress tracking, scope-change flagging, or permit and inspection flagging. To provide these features, the User Content and other information you submit for that purpose (for example, project descriptions, photos, and messages) is processed by Anthropic solely to provide these features to ReevePoint.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for ReevePoint’s internal business purposes, including to:

  • Create and maintain your account and operate the Platform;
  • Connect Customers and Contractors and facilitate the generation of User Contracts;
  • Review the Contractor eligibility information described in Section 1.1;
  • Communicate with you about your account, the Platform, or a User Contract;
  • Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues;
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the Platform; and
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

We do not use your personal information for any purpose other than the business and internal purposes of ReevePoint described in this Policy.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information outside of ReevePoint except as described in this Section 3:

  • With Stripe, as described in Section 1.3, to process payments;
  • With Anthropic, PBC, our AI service provider, to power the AI-assisted features described in Section 1.4;
  • With the other User to a User Contract, to the extent necessary to connect Customers and Contractors and enable them to complete a project (for example, sharing a Customer’s project details with a Contractor, or a Contractor’s eligibility information with a Customer);
  • With vendors and service providers who perform services on ReevePoint’s behalf (for example, hosting or customer support), who are contractually required to protect your information and to use it only to provide those services to ReevePoint;
  • If required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ReevePoint, our Users, or others; and
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case personal information may be among the assets transferred.

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to operate the Platform, provide the Services, and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

5. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, consistent with the eligibility requirements in our Terms and Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

7. Your Choices

You may review and update your Account Information at any time by logging into your account. You may also contact us using the information in Section 9 to ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and we will respond consistent with applicable law. See also Section 10 for additional rights available to California residents.

If you have opted in to receiving promotional or marketing emails from ReevePoint, you may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us at info@reevepoint.com. We will still send you transactional and account-related emails necessary to operate your account and fulfill our obligations under your User Contract.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

9. Analytics and Cookies

You may opt out of Google Analytics data collection by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Most web browsers also allow you to manage cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.

10. California Privacy Rights

This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Policy. We use the terms “personal information,” “sell,” and “share” as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”).

What We Collect.

In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1: identifiers (name, email address, phone number, IP address); professional or employment-related information (Contractor license and insurance credentials); and internet or other electronic network activity information (usage data collected via analytics tools).

We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

Your California Rights.

Subject to applicable law, California residents have the right to: (1) know what categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share; (2) request deletion of personal information we have collected about you; (3) request correction of inaccurate personal information; and (4) not be discriminated against for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@reevepoint.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Shine the Light.

California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
